Kids use AI every day. Almost none of them know how it works.

AI Safety Adventures teaches elementary students (ages 8-10) to question AI outputs, recognize bias, protect their privacy, and think critically about technology that’s already in their backpacks. Through comic book style mysteries, interactive scenarios, and collectible trading cards, kids learn essential AI literacy concepts without realizing they’re learning anything at all.

No student accounts.

No permission slips.

No surveillance capitalism.

Where this is going

Every kid should understand what AI is before they start using it. By middle school they should recognize AI as a tool, not a companion, and know where it breaks. This is grade 3-5 material, the same way internet safety became grade 3-5 material.

Our goal is straightforward: prevent the confusion and harm that comes from children misunderstanding what AI is and what it can do.

What we do

AI Safety Adventures teaches kids ages 8-10 AI safety in 20-minute segments that drop into existing curricula. Comic-style mysteries, interactive scenarios, collectible cards. No student accounts. No PII. No surveillance.

Built for parents who want their children prepared for a world where AI is already in the room, and for teachers who need material that fits a real class period.

The standard behind the product

GHOST is the privacy framework we built while designing AI Safety Adventures. It’s now published on Zenodo under CC BY 4.0. A 35-requirement spec for building systems where the protected users have nothing to steal. Schools, researchers, and other ed-tech builders are welcome to adopt it.
